Phlashers Meetup - Sunday, Feb 28

We shall be having our next Phlashers User Group meeting this Sunday, February 28, 12 noon at Shakey’s Katipunan, right across Ateneo de Manila University’s Gate 3, beside Starbucks. Look for the table reserved under John Imbong (our User Group Co-Manager).

For those who are commuting, you can go down the EDSA Cubao MRT station, enter Gateway Mall, go to the Araneta Cubao LRT station then take the LRT along Aurora and go down at the Katipunan Avenue LRT station. Head up Katipunan Av and Shakey’s will be right across McDonald’s on your left side.

There will be WiFi at the venue and we’ll try a webcast.

This is an important meeting and we’ll be discussing the following topics:
1. The Second Phlashers ActionScript 3 contest
3. Flash, Video & HTML5 - why HTML5 isn’t going to totally replace Flash
anytime soon
2. What’s new with Flash CS5
4. The upcoming Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and AIR 2.0
5. Flash on Mobile - Android, Windows Mobile 7, Symbian, etc
6. Flash on the iPhone

This Phlashers meetup is open to anyone interested in the Flash Platform (Flash on web, mobile, CD-roms/kiosks, Flex, AIR and Actionscript). There is no registration fee, but you probably should buy stuff from Shakey’s out of courtesy. We’ll also have some free swag for raffle.
